Share and Be Fair

We teach our children to share and be fair but as adults many have chosen selfishness over equity and peace. We must learn to practice the good values we speak. In our actions to bring equity and peace and create a world where we co-exist in love; we too must honor and live our core values. We too must embrace opportunities to share and be fair!

MAKEDA, A Riveting New Book by Randall Robinson

Please read celebrated TransAfrica founder and civil rights icon, Randall Robinson's new book MAKEDA!!!!!!

MAKEDA is riveting; a blessing and affirmation of my heart and a calling for us to remember the truth of our greatness! Circumstances do not define who we are in our hearts! Mr. Randall Robinson's eloquent truth in such a magnificent package! I read all night and this book is simply captivating! I honor you for your vision Mr. Robinson! MAKEDA is truly is a soul awakening Masterpiece! With loving respect!" Melony

"About Makeda... from the book jacket! On the eve of the Civil Rights movement, while struggling to survive the emotional vacuum of his family, young Gray March escapes into the safe and magical world of his grandmother Makeda’s tiny parlor. There his life is transformed by his visits to the aging matriarch, a woman blind since birth but who has always dreamed in color. She begins to confide in Gray the things she “sees” and remembers ...from her dream state, and a story starts to emerge, a story that becomes increasingly more detailed, layered with descriptions and historical accuracy beyond the scope of Makeda’s elementary school education. Gradually, Gray begins to make a connection . . . . . . a connection between his grandmother’s dreams and the epic life of an African queen described in the Bible . . . Part coming-of-age story, part spiritual journey, and part love story, Makeda is a universal tale of family, heritage, and the ties that bind. It is about the people who help to shape and mold us, and lead us into the light. Appealing to the deepest sense of who we are, Robinson plumbs the hearts of grandmother Makeda and her grandson Gray, and summons our collective blood memories, taking the reader on an unforgettable journey of the soul that will linger long after the last page has been turned!"

There are those who believe that anger is a healthy emotion. True we are human and we may feel many emotions. When we do feel anger, we should use that energy to search for understanding and to work to resolve the problem in a good way without causing harm to others! When we feel anger we should ask for understanding, wisdom, mercy and compassion in order to do more good and bring good change!

Do More Good

If we want to solve problems and see good results, we've got to do more, graciously with humility and love. We've got to believe that good things will happen. Sometimes we have to do more and more so that others too are inspired to believe and do more good. And when we think we've done all the good we can, there are days that we simply have to embrace our good hopes/dreams and do one more good thing with love! Therein lies the power of Divine Grace!

Decisions, Decisions

We are given situations that call for us to choose. The outcome of our decisions may enslave us or free us. When making a decision it is always important to use compassion and wisdom, not anger or envy. Every good decision comes with the compliance and integrity of your good heart!

Culture of War

This culture of war masked in hopes of freedom promotes the death of peaceful dreams and makes victims not victors!

For no matter what side wins--- the broken hearts, the missing arms or legs, the sound of bombs, machine guns and mortar mixed with the screams of children, women, and men replay over and over in the brain years later as innocent children needing nurturing offer us love and attention which in our woundedness we ignore!

When will humanity learn that compromise, cooperation, forgiveness, truth, reconciliation and Love for ourselves and our neighbors is the only pathway of a good future?
