optimism
Melony McGant, poet, storyteller, humanist and world lover of children lives on HOPE; works to breathe in love, and exhales fear (false expectations appearing real).
She says "Perhaps our current challenges are wake-up calls for our collective awakening to truth."
And she believes that the truth is, there is no need for our constant bickering, our disdain for eachother, for wars and killing, for world hunger, massive disease, for discrimination, subjugation, or oppression.
She maintains that LOVE, even on a rainy day, is the answer to our dreams, our individual quests, and our future collective identity. "If we can learn to value our children, our elders, ourselves, and our Mother EarthHeart, then surely we have the power to impact society and to create a world filled with JOY."

Our Dreams Need Nurtured
Summer Note From Miss Mellie Rainbow
Our dreams need to be cared for, nurtured, and loved!
Beloveds, our dreams can blossom in the garden of life.
To do so, dreams need to be cared for, nurtured, and loved.
We must tend to our dreams through the seasons…the hibernating winter, the blossoming spring, the active summer and the harvesting fall.
We must be willing to do the work to make our dreams a reality.
And though we may have individual success,
Our dreams need to be cared for, nurtured, and loved!

We must be willing to do the work to make our dreams a reality.
And though we may have individual success,
we must ask ourselves …
What is it we as a Human Collective are dreaming?
A world where we share and nurture the positive loving dreams
or a world of war and destruction?
John F. Kennedy, the 35th President said during his speech
to the UN General Assembly on September 25th in1961
“Mankind must end all wars or war will end mankind!”
Another great man, The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
used this quote more than once to stir us into right action.
And though we have heard this message from virtually
every peacemaker across centuries----
We are at an impasse now, and have been for many years.
We readily forge the path of destruction with drones

We are at an impasse now, and have been for many years.
We readily forge the path of destruction with drones
and military spending for Israel, Iraq and Afghanistan
but we don’t keep our commitment to assist the more thank 15 million unemployed
or our more than 1 million Haitian neighbors still living in tents
with limited access to water, and electricity.
Oh, the challenges we face in Haiti, Gaza, India, Tibet, Sudan, Nigeria, Greece,

Mexico and on every continent. There are many, challenges on Earth!!!!

What is the problem? Why are people suffering?
Simply our GREED.
We continuously need more----bigger and more which results
in creating an imbalance on Our Mother-Earth=Heart
and in her vast oceans and environ.
Thus we have earthquakes, hurricanes, famines and oil spills.
Thus we have earthquakes, hurricanes, famines and oil spills.
And there is something VERY unnatural about the child that holds the AK-47 gun
with pride and believes it offers the same kind of security
as a mother and father working together in love.
Oh---be still my heart! Unless we change, the end is near
for all our technological advances cannot end our predilection to violence.
And violence destroys---and will continue to destroy the heart of humanity.
What can we do?

And violence destroys---and will continue to destroy the heart of humanity.
What can we do?
We can stop our greed, open our hearts and share our resources.
We can love one another & learn to forgive eachother, share with eachother and learn live in peace!

SHINE
Beloveds,
Love never goes away
for even in the darkness of night
comes the morningstar
to illuminate earth.
you are that love
and though there are
moments of despair,
when you re-member
that you are love,
you help bring much
needed light to earth!
today shine your light for you are a star !
