Between Riverside and Crazy at the Hayes Theater on Broadway!

Between Riverside and Crazy at the Hayes Theater on Broadway!  This  Pulitzer Winning Show is Hot, Hot, Hot! Starts November 30th. Runs for 11 Weeks ONLY!

Beautiful People, 

It was a blessing that audience development consultant Kojo Ade invited me to attend the dress rehearsal of "Between Riverside and Crazy!"  This Pulitzer winning show is Hot, Hot, Hot!  And I will go back to see it again!

Between "Riverside and Crazy" 

allowed me to witness the dramatic mastery of #StephenMcKinleyHenderson.  He is simply magnificent with a sense of humor that made me laugh till I cried!

His character, Mr. Washington is a delusioned, injured, retired NYC police officer who knows what it's like to experience racism on his job.  He is also an alcoholic and in his day might well have been a ladies man.  He's a smart and sometimes belligerent who speaks in raw language we might not expect. 

Mr. Washington and his son Junior played by Oscar, Emmy and Grammy award winner #COMMON and a few of Junior's friends live in a palatial rent controlled apt on Riverside Drive and of course the landlord has served an eviction notice. 

Though we don't know the whole story of Junior who was recently released from prison, but in MY MIND he is a booster/thief,  player/ladies man with a hot, sexy woman that he doesn't know if he loves but wants to keep for the time being. It also seems like he's been in therapy so he desperately wants to heal himself and his relationship with his father.

We do know that Junior is enrolled in City College and wants to turn his life around.  Unfortunately,  old habits are hard to break.  Junior's girl friend played by #RosalColon is extremely affectionate and a little sex crazed. 

I was also so honored to meet writer #StephenAdleyGuirgis, the costume designer (I love the costumes), the assistant costume designer Diejah Valle, her Mom, Diana Valle  some of the wonderful actors including the hilarious #LizaColonZayas who like many of the characters in this tremendous Ensemble Cast, has a hidden agenda.  Kudos to the Entire Second Stage Team!

Just as trees, flowers and all living things; we are all born from the Seed of Love. 

Even when our bodies are frail, our Hearts grow strong when nurtured with Love.

Some of us stay here for many years, share our creativity, gifts, genius and wisdom with many others; as we  learn great lessons.

Others stay only a short time but their Love guides and gives us courage, strength and New Purpose. 

Through them we learn what it is to be happy even when we are very sad!

Joy comes when we learn to support and nurture eachother with compassion and share our special moments.

Hopefully we learn quickly to say what is in our hearts and to Live With No Regret--- because sometimes we are asked to offer our tender goodbyes when we just became comfortable and said a loving hello!

And Yes, it is true-- Every beautiful flower will wilt and return to the Earth; and strong trees may fall in a storm and die; but the Roots of Love are Eternal and can remain and blossom in our minds and our hearts throughout Eternity in the Circle of Life and Love!

Love Has Many Roads!

Beautiful People,

We may walk, ride a bike or take the bus. Some drive a car, row a boat or sail on the ocean. Others travel mostly by train and plane. And then there are those who believe they travel the Cosmos through different dimensions and time.

No matter our culture or religion; no matter what country or part of the Cosmos you live in---some things about this MultiVerse are truly the same.  

There will be rains of kindness, storms of difficulty and lessons of Awakening to the Love.  

Through Love, we learn to let go of anger or fear.   

We can embrace our power to heal, forgive, share and walk as Beings infused with the Creator's Grace!
