"A Wrinkle in Time" Review by Melony McGant

"A Wrinkle in Time"
Review by Melony McGant

"A Wrinkle in Time" directed by Ava DuVernay  is a beautiful film for children and the inner child in all of us.  It is filled with reminders of hope  and asks us to embrace compassion.  It also reminds us that ultimately Love helps us release our fear and to use our gifts for good purpose.

Visually stunning and dreamlike, while watching the film, I was transported to another Universe and asked by Divine Spirit to heal the old wounds I had unconsciously hidden.

If you want to support your daughters and sons by encouraging their genius/gifts and teach them lessons of compassion, take them to see A Wrinkle in Time.

I knew Meg for Meg was once me.  As a child I too felt I didn't I fit in and often questioned authority figures.  I too felt disappointment and wondered why it seemed that many other children and adults didn't think I was good enough.

No matter your culture, race or religion, this film is universal and asks us to live with dignity and respect for eachother.  It encourages conversation about our lives and our World today.

A Wrinkle in Time is a movie of healing that asks us to have courage and integrity. The film is like a dream locked in our minds when we thought we we lost our way.  We learn that there is value in celebrating our differences and individuality.

It shows us the challenges we face are opportunities to shine but we have to look inside to find the answer.   Spiritually we are asked to remember that  no matter the obstacles, All Is Possible through Love.

Rarely are we are given such an innoncent opportunity to look at ourselves, our vanity, our faults, our need for bullying, our quest for uniformity and our fear.

Ultimately,  "A Wrinkle in Time" with its vibrant colors, soothing, beautiful music and surreal imagery is a meditation that allows us to reconnect with our true source of power and unlimited potential through Love.

To "A Wrinkle in Time" director, Ava DuVernay and the  Wonderful Cast and Crew...BRAVO!

Rev. Melony McGant
