Melony Included in Brand New Anthology Called "Passing It On:

Melony Included in Brand New Anthology Called "Passing It On: Moving Stories of Activists-1960 to 2000
When Divine Spirit speaks to us in our hearts, it is important to Listen!  This is what Bev Jenai-Myers does by  selecting 30 authors to create an anthology called "Passing It On: Moving Stories of Activist- 1960-2000".  The words of these writers are prolific, profound and sometimes riveting.
They honor the courage of their hearts, and sometimes the pain of their good actions.  In every respect, this book is a keeper and one to "Pass On" to children, to study in classrooms and to discuss over the dinner table and in book clubs.  Civil and human rights in the United States has come with blood, sweat and tears.  And the truth is, we still have far to go to gain and assure equity for all.
"Passing It On" explores some of the stories that we don't know.  It depicts how on every level, it is important to work for good change, and that to know that every good effort has value.
This is a book that I, Melony McGant am honored to be in!  I join some remarkable people including fine artist/poet and author Bev Jenai-Myers, John Soderberg,  Jeannette Drake,  Larry Rosenberg (who writes a moving reflection on Goodman, Chaney and Schwerner who were murdered during Freedom Summer), Iris Gordy (VP Motown Records), Dorothy Pittman Hughes (who co-founded MS Magazine with Gloria Steinham), Deborah Meier, Miriam DeCosta-Willis, Rey Nicolas, Evelyn Albu, Rudolph Lewis, John Milton Wesley, Marian Last, C. Jessie Jones, Angel Reyes III, Mary Fischer, Eileen Ain, Christella and Charles Moody, Akinyele K. Umoja, Efia Nwangaza, Monica Sacks, Myrna Goldstein, Ernesto Mejia, Victoria Norton, Patricia Churchill, Ann Monterio, Robin Toussant, Andrea Smith, Lynn Morrow and Tom Head.
I Highly Recommend and am honored to be an author in "Passing It On:Moving Stories of Activists-1960 to 2000"
It is perfect  for your library and holiday gifts. You may purchase your copy through Amazon, Barnes & Noble's and Independent Booksellers Everywhere!
