A Special Request: Celebrating Melony's New B'Earth Year!

First I'd like to Thank All of You for Your Compassion and Beautiful Support.
And Yes, I Still Believe in Miracles! More than 15 years ago I met Dr. Carolyn Goodman on the 1 Train in NYC. She shared the story of her son Andy and how he had been murdered in Mississippi by the Ku Klux Klan during Freedom Summer in 1964.
Dr. Goodman invited me to an event honoring Andy's life where I met Sylvia Golbin Goodman, beloved wife of David, Andy's brother. This family embraced me, have supported my spiritual growth and work. What a Beautiful Miracle that resulted from a train meeting!
Fast Forward...On Tuesday, October 3, 2017, The Andrew Goodman Foundation honored Bishop Dr. William J. Barber II with a 2017 Hidden Hero Award for "Courageously Defending the Moral Values of American Democracy."
Bishop Barber received the award from AGF Advisory Board member and actor, Danny Glover at an intimate ceremony in New York City.
Dr. Barber reminded us that We Must Work Together for Good!
In Celebration of My New B'EARTH YEAR on Oct 22nd, I am Speaking to Everyone Everywhere and Asking That You Support the Andrew Goodman Foundation and the VOTE EVERYWHERE Initiative on College Campuses.
These are very challenging times and we All must remember to be mindful, to focus on issues and not get caught up in senseless rhetoric. Yes, the devil is very busy causing division but the good news is that we are facing the hard truth about who we are as individuals and collectively.
Even in the darkest hours, We Must Have Hope. We must also work harder to be Our Best Selves.
On the political landscape, even now many of us don't see the urgency of working together and VOTING in every election. This is a difficult lesson but We Must Remember that We Are the Designated Agents of Cooperation and Hope with Good Change!
In my New B'Earth Year, I will contine to talking to people About Andrew Goodman who was murdered during Freedom Summer in 1964 by the Ku Klux Klan and encouraging others to live the tenets of our democracy.
Please, Let's All Help Preserve Our Fragile Democracy by Helping Train Young Leaders and Encouraging Everyone Everywhere to VOTE!
